As a teacher I have two goals: to help my students develop specific mathematical knowledge, and to help them become clear and effective writers and thinkers. Math is a language as well as a body of facts, and the ability to make convincing and easily-understood arguments is more important than any specific theorem or technique I might cover in class. Office Hours:
My office hours are 12:15-1:45 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. My office is in Fowler 305. Please drop by if you’d like to talk to me for any reason.
In addition I am often in my office from 4:00-5:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; and from 1:30-3:00 PM and 4:30-5:00 PM on Tuesdays. I can’t guarantee I’ll be around then, but these are all good times to look for me.
